Hope you all had a great Mother's Day! I had a very pleasant day with my mom and my grandmother. My cats bought me nothing. As usual.

First up, you can now find our cute cupcake soaps at The Cupcakerie in Cranston, Rhode Island! They make the best REAL cupcakes and now they have added some novelty cupcake items to their shop. Check them out sometime!

Since we are such fans of supporting our local peeps, we are now using coffee beans from New Harvest Coffee Roasters of Pawtucket, RI in our Java Lava soap. Their coffee is certified organic and Fair Trade.

Speaking of summer and rocking your bath tubs, we are planning on launching some amazing soaps in the very near future. Be on the lookout for a beer soap (using Narragansett, because they are our neighbors, of course!) and key lime pie soap. The hops in beer provide great moisturing benefits for your skin.

Lots of Updating!

First of all, I would like to welcome another fabulous retailer to the Stella Marie fam - Bolla Soaps! Slated to open in May, Bolla Soaps will be a welcome addition to the strip of fine shops on Main Street in Nashua, New Hampshire! The shopkeeper is also a soapmaker and will be adding her wonderful saponified creations to her inventory.

If you are in the area, please check them out. Warning: The scents in the store are pretty irresistible. You might find yourself walking out with bags and bags of soapy goodness.

Next up, as an event planner for Rhody Craft 100, I am pleased to announce that our first ever event, CRAFTOPIA, was a huge success! We are planning a follow-up event for the holiday season, so please stay tuned for details on that.

The spring and summer event calendar has been posted on our website. We are doing a new farmer's market this year in East Greenwich. I am super excited about this and can't wait to participate. As always, I will be selling soap alongside Rhode Island's finest local producers. The event calendar is pretty booked up, but there may be some new additions as the season moves on, so check in frequently.

We are having a HUGE online sale next week, in honor of Mother's Day. Details to follow in the next few days. We will also be debuting a new soap - one that mom will totally dig (there is a hint in that phrase!).

Last, but not least, we will be featured in the May issue of Rhode Island Monthly. They are running a piece on local Etsy sellers and they chose our Ocean State soap for the article. Yay, Rhody!
