The purple didn't turn out as purple as I would have liked, but it served as a nice background for the "splatter" affect I went for. This was a really fun soap to make.

Joanna - Thanks! The green is actually Bramble Berry's "Emerald" (liquid dye). BB has THE BEST dyes I have ever used. I use oxides for brown and black. Liquid for all other colors. So far. I am currently conceptualizing a soap that will require a very white white, so I am thinking about getting some titanium dioxide.
ah, yes, white - love to see how you pull Snow White off. Are you going to draw her out first, too? I think your planned methods are fascinating. I am more of a "fly by the seat of my pants" chick. Inherent. Can't help it. Not wildly organized either.

I don't think I am going to draw the white soap out. It's going to be my Stephen King soap called, simply, "Carrie." Pristine white with soap paint splatters of red. Strawberry cheesecake scented.
It sounds really morbid, I know, but I love Stephen King and I think he deserves a soap. My alternate idea is to make a standard soap and have a custom stamp made that reads "The Overlook Hotel" in fancy script. But I need to look into copyright stuff there, since it isn't the title of a book or movie (both of which are free to use).
The Madness soap is after that, and it's a very happy, quirky sort of soap. Still not sure about the scent.
Then I'm taking a break from new items for a bit.
Glad you like the ducks! I found a fantastic "punk duck" that I am totally getting as a prop when I work the Punk Rock Flea Market in Danbury on the 19th.
